Why They Chose Pewter For Their Wedding
Pewter is an especially dusty and vintage-style shade of grey with its true grey undertone. Its popularity in the interior design world has transitioned into the fashion world as well in recent years. Pewter gives any bridal party a too-cool look, with its effortless sensibility. Lovely in more structured styles or flowing chiffon numbers, you really can't go wrong with Pewter.

I was initially drawn to Pewter because it reminded me of my weekends as a kid at my grandparents place. My grandfather loved vintage knick-knacks and would spend his weekends making them look like new again. Of course, many of them were Pewter and choosing that color for the bridesmaid dresses was kind of my little reminder of him.

I'm an interior designer, so I'm quite familiar with color variances and all that. I had just done a job for a client where Pewter, beige, and gold were the main colors in the palette. I loved it and the beautiful shade of grey, or Pewter, stuck out in my mind. I'm so glad we tried it out on the girls because they loved it too.

I knew I wanted a simple monochrome and pink for my wedding palette but I knew there was something missing in there. We searched and searched before we found Pewter, which was the perfect balancing color between the pink and the black and white. We loved it so much that it ended up being the color the bridesmaids wore.

Just the name Pewter screams vintage to me. I wanted the wedding palette to have earthy metal tones so Pewter was definitely a shoe in. We also complemented that with a dusty gold and copper. The finishing look was just stunning. The bridesmaids wore Pewter colored dresses because it was the most universally flattering of the bunch.
